Cuban Dance Festivals

The Cuban dance and music scene is very lively and has a huge crowd of passionate followers. Yusimi Moya Rodriguez regularly gives classes and workshops and performs as an artist on Cuban dance festivals. On these events, she often is on stage with Cuban musicians and orchestras or has live percussion playing in her classes.

Yusimi Moya Rodriguez teaches Cuban popular and folkloric dances and especially dedicates her work to the Afro-Cuban traditions, the dances of distinct African ethnic origins from Cuba. Her greatest passion is the Cuban Contemporary technique.

On Youtube you will find dozens of videos from Yusimi’s dance classes, most of them recorded and uploaded by her dance students on festivals or in workshops in dance academies. Here is an example of a show on the dance festival “dance4two” in the Netherlands. It was a collaboration with Cuban dancer Nano Hechevarria.
